Cheese Platter/Cake Server Florence

This is a wonderful piece -used for serving and keeping cheeses and small cakes. The glass in the dome is recycled and has a slight green tinge to it, which adds character to the great shape of the dome which bulges out slightly before returning to a smaller diameter where it meets the wooden base. The base itself is interesting and unique due to the fact it is made from a laminated end grain block, which is turned by hand into a shape the is both sturdy and stable, but also elegant. The final touch is a leather strap for a handle and wooden buttons holding it all together. Our design team have really done it again with this one -there is nothing else like it on the market today.
